FOUNDED BY JULIE CHRISTIE SANO
Incandere was founded by Julie Christie Sano as a response to the quiet ways women are taught to disappear.
To apologize before speaking. To soften their knowing. To make their truth more digestible. To call depletion devotion. To confuse being easy to love with being easy to silence.
Julie created Incandere for the woman standing at the edge of her own becoming — the woman who can feel that something in her is no longer willing to stay small.
Here, we believe a woman’s voice is not something she finds once. It is something she practices returning to.
We believe truth is not always polished. Sometimes it shakes. Sometimes it burns. Sometimes it arrives before we feel ready.
We believe anger can be holy information. Desire can be direction. Grief can be a doorway. And becoming can be both beautiful and disruptive.
We believe the parts of you that were called too much may be the exact parts carrying your fire.
Through language, live experiences, digital platforms, and intimate spaces, her work invites women back into the truth of who they are before the world told them to edit it.
We are not here to make women easier to consume. We are here to make them harder to silence.
